Coach Tours in Berkshire

“Discover coach tours and trips all around the UK, with something to appeal to everyone. Meet new people and enjoy daily entertainment”. However what the brochure doesn’t print is that it’s essential for all passengers to sing “Oh I do like to be besides the seaside, oh I do like to be besides the sea” regardless of whether the trip actually is travelling to a seaside resort. Guests must take part in the over competitive and equally serious game of bingo and if you are all but a second late for any additional day trips, you will be left behind, standing by their motto of ‘you snooze you lose’!!!

However there are some great coach operators such as David Urquhart and Shearing that do offer some great short breaks to Berkshire and the surrounding area minus the annoying coach antics. Customers can enjoy staying at fabulous hotels such as the new AA 4 star Holiday Inn Reading M4 Jct10, ideally situated for visiting all the key attractions in the area such as Windsor Castle, Royal Ascot Races, Cliveden House and the extremely popular Highclere Castle, location to the popular drama series Downton Abbey.
Calling all Downton Abbey fans out there, if you are a fan of tangled love stories, honourable soldiers and the dramas of the rich, then this is the coach trip for you, visit the famous filming location Highclere Castle. Although the Castle has a clear attachment to the popular television series, it is also known for being one of England's most beautiful Victorian Castles, set in 1,000 acres of magnificent parkland. During your visit there are a number of walks within and near the estate which can be enjoyed. One of the recommended walks is the steep hike to Beacon Hill. Once you reach the top you can enjoy spectacular views, along with viewing the remains of an Iron Age fort.

The next recommended coach tour is visiting the Ascot races. Ladies it’s time to bring out those fancy hats for the social event of the year. There are many coach trips running to Ascot Races for the Ladies Day celebrations.  However if you are picking up a coach trip from the Reading or Wokingham area then  why not stay at Holiday Inn Reading M4 Jct10 the night before where you can receive the ‘Royal’ treatment. Enjoy afternoon tea and Chilled Champagne in Monty’s lounge and bar, as well as enjoying a number of different pampering treatments in Esprit fitness and Spa, ranging from a hot stone massage to an indulgent Elemis facial.
